This Privacy Policy below governs your CenSearch registration account
and any information you provide on the CenSearch web site. The Policy was updated
on 1st December 2005
Overview
Wales 4-County census searches and CenSearch was formerly Breccen and the terms
are interchangeable. References to one term automatically implies reference to the other.
In order to operate the CenSearch Free search/Registration process and to
reduce the risk of fraud, CenSearch that is we, must ask you to provide
information about yourself. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect
and how we use that information. CenSearch takes the privacy of your personal
information very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the
terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell, rent, give or share your personally identifiable
information or a list of our customers to third parties. This Privacy Policy applies
to all procedures that are hosted on the CenSearch website.
This policy may be revised from time-to-time as new features are added to the
CenSearch service or as we incorporate suggestions from our customers.
We will post the amended Privacy Policy prominently on our Website. Please return

Some pages on the CenSearch website include links to third party websites.
These sites are governed by their own privacy statements, and CenSearch is
not responsible for their operations, including but not limited to their information
practices. Users submitting information to or through these third party Websites
should review the privacy statement of these sites before providing them with personally

To register with CenSearch, you must provide your name and email address.
In order to make payments for CenSearch registration, you must provide credit
card or debit card information (via Paypal. No information other than your email address
will be sought, if you register using a cheque or cash.
The Original Census data that we use is UK Crown Copyright. Data that we uncover
on your behalf and send to you is for your personal use. We will not disclose to
any other person or organization any census data that you (i) request (ii) receive from us.
Our Use of "Cookies"
"Cookies" are small files of data that reside on your computer and
allow us to recognise you as a CenSearch customer if you return to the
CenSearch site using the same computer and browser. These cookies allow us
to recognise you if you visit multiple pages in our site during the same session.
Once you leave our site or close your browser, these session cookies expire and no
longer have any effect.
Correspondence
With the exception of the FREE Search facility, when you send us correspondence,
(normally by email) we retain such information in the records of your account.
We retain these records in order to measure and improve our customer service, and
to re-send you census data that you may have lost. We keep a record of what we send
you for 3 months. We do not retain Free Search emails.
Disclosure to Third Parties
CenSearch will not sell, rent, give or share any of your personally identifiable
information to any third party.
Our day-to-day procedures comply with this Privacy Policy.
